Global Dance 30 is another milestone episode! Being a milestone episode, I went crazy mixing and blending 20 multi-EDM genres tracks (House, Vocal House, Tech-House, Progressive, Electro, Trance, & Vocal Trance) to take you on a journey. We have come a long way on the internet and I’m looking forward to playing for you live in your country and city someday… On that note, going forward I am going to spend less time on the Global Dance podcast and spend more time producing my own original tracks, so new Global Dance may not launch on the 1st of every month. Fall is in full effect and while most of us are enduring the cold, dark, and rainy weather, Global Dance 25 features a heavy hitter all the way from warm Greece, a true lover of House music, the ruler of southern European beach parties, the sound of Greece, the sound of Myconos - DJ DINO! DJ-PRODUCER-RADIO PRODUCER & CEO of M.F.U “Doing what you love is a blessing. If you work hard and do it right, that’s all that counts” – DJ Dino So reads the mantra of DJ Dino, one of Greece’s best-loved and most talented house music DJs. It’s the ethos of someone with house music ingrained in their flesh and blood, and someone who lives, sleeps and breathes it 24/7. A devoted disciple of all things Masters At Work, Strictly Rhythm and Defected, Dino’s rise from the Greek dance music underground to become one of the country’s hottest properties shows no sign of fading as we enter the new decade. Dino was born and raised in the 1980s in one of the world’s historical house music epicentres, New York City, before moving to Greece in 1993 at the age of 13 – taking some of the city’s musical heritage along with him. By the time he was 20, he was already working as a PR for one of Athens’ hottest clubs, Bossa Nostra, all the while following his passion for soulful 4/4 beats. He found his musical hero in Little Louie Vega, one half of the legendary Masters At Work and legend in his own right, with soulful, uplifting house becoming his raison d’être. His love for the genre soon saw him enter the world of promoting, building a solid reputation for himself with his Project / Music For Us nights in the city over the next two years. As his name and reputation spread across and outside of Greece, Dino’s parties became more and more popular, and in 2002 he began an exclusive business relationship with Louie Vega in Greece, building strong ties with the man who inspired him so much over the years. Vega’s colleagues Timmy Regisford and Quentin Harris also became key inspirations for Dino’s style of positive, organic house music, and by 2005 he had packed in the day job to focus on DJing full time. Being a resident at Club Venue Athens for the house partys (one of DJMag’s Top 100 Clubs In The World), at Villa Mercedes (one of the most acclaimed club/restaurants in Europe) and Club Glow (where has played alongside international talents on Thursday nights), Dino’s presence in the Greek scene is ubiquitous. When the long, scorching Greek summer season hits, he relocates to the island of Mykonos, playing often at the world-famous beach club Cavo Paradiso ( 1 of the top clubs in the world ,which has brought its sound and vibe to London’s Egg and other leading European venues) and also at Scarpa, the one place in Myconos where house music is played seven nights a week. As well as playing in every major club and city in Greece, he has also performed in Italy in the last 2 years. The border breakthrough for him is March 2010, where he performs in New York City ( The Sullivan Room) in Room 84 N.J & at the WMC where he will get the main floor ready for the legendary Timmy Regisford & David Morales @ the Shelbourne hotel for the shelter party. Holding a powerful weapon which is the MFU radioshow every Friday night on one of the biggest fm radiostations in greece, Athens Deejay 95.2 , with a number of 30.000 listeners , he is constintly introducing new people to the music he loves. Starting in Spring 2010 you can find dj Dino every Friday @ the most famous club/restaurant, Mamacas. With a fresh production career underway and residencies and bookings across Greece and increasingly growing outside Greece, Dino’s career is looking very bright indeed. Not everybody understands house music – but he sure as hell does.

Definition: SoundSex - The merging of sounds, to create a new sound Miko Franconi (SoundSex) ~ With remixes and original music rising the charts on Beatport (world's leading electronic music download store), SoundSex's latest releases were in October of 2010. Releases include a recent remix of "Tension", SoundSex's second track on Beatport in 2009, by Decoding Jesus (#2 on Beatport, Moist Music Top Downloads, 10-30-2010), and a release feat a remix of: David Christophere & Decoding Jesus vs MelleeFresh & Keoki - "SLEAZEE", released on PLAY DIGITAL, other remixers for this release include Dirtyloud, and Jerome Robbins. Miko Franconi is a Friday/Saturday resident at Asylum Afterhours (www.asylumafterhours.com , #60 in DJMAG 2011 Top 100 Clubs in the World). The youngest brother of Dance music LEGEND, Superstar DJ KEOKI, Miko Franconi has been living up to his name the moment he stepped up to the decks. His choices in music by far reflect the fact that he has been a member of electronic dance music movement since toddler years. He takes the long route to the climactic part of a set, (or to look at it differently, its one long climax!! , SoundSex). Laying down songs with melodic hooks, and face-melting basslines, traveling from techno, to electro, to breaks, (and sometimes dub-step, which he fondly refers to as dub-SEX) he teases the crowd before making that rise to total dancefloor madness. This is a true sign of a masterful dj, and Miko has worked his way into our hearts via dance music. He has worked his dj'ing skills in clubs spanning across the states, from NY, Miami, Denver to LA, including Ultra Music Festival (WMC 2010 Miami), The Church (top-5 clubs in US), Beta (Beatport owned) and MEGA CLUBS Bar Standard and FUTURE LA Underground. Miko Franconi began his dj career back in 1998, spinning side beside his brother Kekoa, a legend in the music industry himself (owner/operator of Superstar Productions). When Miko and Koa teamed up, as an opening act for Keoki, back in 1998, under the name Kibbles N' Beats, the scene knew that techno music was yet to be changed with THESE Franconi brothers attacking dance floors. Music is definitely a force in this family. Miko is also the younger brother of Hawaii celebrity and radio personality Maleko. Miko Franconi is back behind the lights and in dj booths yet again after a long hiatus to "gather his strength," and he's doing it with a vengeance, as if he knows that he has a lot to live up to, and believe me, he has "Superstar" written all over him! Having been interviewed in 808SceneZine and on over a dozen radio interviews from Hawaii to Florida, Miko has set his sights for the top, and we all have a chance to witness the rise. When you see (and feel) how naturally he makes the dancefloor move.. you too will be a believer.. the Franconi Legacy has much more in store for us. Facebook www.facebook.com/soundsexfans

Podcast Summarydj Sang-Do Biography: Since 1996 at the age of 19, I’ve been mixing House, Trance and Progressive. My technical influences were inspired from listening and watching some of the best DJs throughout North America from the early 90's to the late. My musical and vibe influences were inspired from my previous visits as a patron to the best nightclubs in Amsterdam, Nijmegen, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Brussels, Rome, Milan, Nice, Paris, and even Roppongi back in the early 2000's. ...In 2008, I had the pleasure of visiting one of Europe’s hottest beach party destinations, Mykonos, Greece. I also frequently visit Seoul, a city where it is not too hard to find DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs on their Asia tour. Thus today, I am inspired to produce and mix tracks that are of the Global Dance sound. Love you all, love each other!
